  • Business Owner 101 is all the tactical and back-end up-skilling so that you handle funds above board from day one, know how to pay yourself and develop comfort and confidence with reading financial statements.

    It’s being able to know enough about what you should be seeing in the books so that you can identify issues easily when you eventually hand-off the back-end management to another collaborator or employee.

    It’s making sure you’re registered with the proper State and Federal agencies, that you have your tax budget built into your planning from day one, and that you have basic internal controls and documents in place so that you’re protected and armored up as the business begins to scale.

  • Cashflow management is the number one challenge for most businesses, especially when revenue is seasonal or gets paid out in large lump-sums and contract milestones.

    We lean-in heavily on benchmarking Gross Profit margins against your industry's top performers to make sure the wind is in your sales and then use the Profit First Methodology to lean into monthly or weekly cashflow forecasting so that we can adapt to and/or avert tightness months before it arrives.

  • Some problems don't fit neatly into a bookkeeping scope. That's where our Operations & Systems Advisory skills come in. We roll up our sleeves and help you build the internal systems your business actually needs to run well.

    Past projects include custom profitability dashboards built in Airtable, draft master service agreements for legal review governing 1099 contractor relationships, compliance tracking dashboards, IT policy documentation, and facilitated team working sessions to identify bottlenecks and design workflows that directly respond to what your clients are asking for.

    This work is available on a project or hourly basis at $85/hr for standard operational work and $125/hr for advanced workshops and facilitated sessions. Most clients engage us for specific projects alongside their monthly bookkeeping, but standalone engagements are welcome too.
